Material:  925 Sterling Silver, Kingman Turquoise, the clip is made of steel. 

The clip is easily replaced if it wears out.  There is a prong on each end of the clip that can be lifted to remove the old clip and then a new clip put on.  I have seen these hair clips available at craft supply stores.  

Length: The size of the front of the hair barrette is 3" by 1".  The inner part of the clip is about 2" wide.  

Weight:  Weighs on average, about 15 grams.
